Introduction

Welcome to Evidnt ("Evidnt", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and platform at evidnt.ai.

By using Evidnt, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.

We have tried to keep these terms clear and fair. If something is unclear, contact us.

What Evidnt Does

Evidnt is an AI-powered platform that helps founders discover what customers really want through customer discovery. Our service includes:

• AI analysis of your startup context
• Generation of customised interview questions
• Tools to capture and organise interview insights
• Pattern recognition across multiple interviews
• Recommendations to support your decisions

Evidnt is a tool to support your customer discovery process. It does not replace your own judgment, professional advice, or the hard work of actually talking to customers.

Accounts

Creating an Account

To use most features, you need to create an account. You must:

• Provide accurate information
• Be at least 16 years old
• Keep your login credentials secure
• Notify us if you suspect unauthorised access

You are responsible for all activity under your account.

Account types

Free project

Each project you create starts on the Free tier:

• Up to 3 interviews per project
• AI-generated interview questions
• Basic outreach kit (interviewee profile + 2 channels)
• Basic pattern analysis (top 3 patterns)
• PDF export

Pro project ($29 per project, one-time)

You can upgrade any project to Pro with a single payment of $29. There is no subscription. Once upgraded, Pro access on that project is permanent.

• Unlimited interviews
• Full outreach kit (all channels + templates)
• Full pattern analysis with AI insights
• Validation scoring and recommendations
• All export formats
• Shareable stakeholder link

We may change features or pricing with reasonable notice. Any changes apply to future purchases only.

Payments

How payment works

• Pro upgrades are a one-time payment per project. There are no subscriptions or recurring charges.
• Payments are processed through Stripe.
• Prices are in US Dollars and exclude applicable taxes.
• Once a project is upgraded to Pro, that access is permanent.

Refund policy

Because Pro access is delivered immediately and is permanent, refunds are generally not available once the upgrade is complete. If you have used the service on that project (analysing a startup idea, generating questions, capturing interviews, running pattern analysis, etc.), no refund will be issued.

Under exceptional circumstances, refunds may be processed at Evidnt's sole discretion.

Founding Project pricing

The first 100 Pro projects purchased on Evidnt qualify for Founding Project pricing: $15 per project instead of the standard $29. Same features, same permanent access. Once 100 projects have been sold at the Founding Project price, the offer ends. There is no deadline.

Founding Project status is permanent and tied to the project. If you delete a project that had Founding Project pricing, that status cannot be transferred to another project and no refund is available.

Your Content

Ownership

You own everything you put into Evidnt:

• Startup descriptions and pitch decks
• Interview notes and insights
• Tags, categories, and observations

We do not claim ownership of your content.

Licence to Us

By using Evidnt, you grant us a limited licence to:

• Store and process your content to provide the service
• Send your content to our AI provider (Anthropic) for analysis
• Create backups for data protection

This licence ends when you delete your content or close your account.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content. Do not upload:

• Content you do not own or have permission to use
• Confidential information belonging to others without authorisation
• Anything illegal or harmful

AI-Generated Content

What AI Provides

Evidnt uses AI (Anthropic's Claude Sonnet 4.6) to generate:

• Interview questions
• Pattern analysis
• Insights and recommendations
• Summaries and reports

Important Limitations

AI output is a starting point, not a final answer.

• AI suggestions may be incomplete or inaccurate
• Always review and adapt AI-generated content to your situation
• Do not rely solely on AI for major business decisions
• AI cannot replace talking to real customers

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content for your specific circumstances.

No Professional Advice

Evidnt does not provide legal, financial, investment, or other professional advice. AI-generated content is for informational purposes only. Consult qualified professionals for advice specific to your situation.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Evidnt for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the service
• Reverse engineer or copy our platform
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data
• Resell or redistribute the service without permission
• Upload malicious code or content
• Harass, abuse, or harm others through the platform
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Intellectual Property

Our Property

Evidnt, including our website, platform, branding, and underlying technology, is owned by Your Startup Advisor Limited. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without permission.

Feedback

If you provide suggestions or feedback about Evidnt, we may use it to improve our service without obligation to you.

Third-Party Services

Evidnt integrates with third-party services:

• Anthropic — AI processing
• Stripe — Payment processing
• Vercel — Hosting
• Supabase — Database and authentication

Your use of these services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

Availability and Changes

Service Availability

We aim to keep Evidnt available and reliable, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may:

• Perform maintenance (with notice when possible)
• Experience technical issues beyond our control
• Modify or discontinue features

Changes to the Service

We continuously improve Evidnt. We may add, change, or remove features. For significant changes, we will provide reasonable notice.

Disclaimers

Evidnt is provided "as is" and "as available."

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including:

• Merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Accuracy or reliability of AI-generated content

We do not warrant that:

• The service will meet your specific requirements
• The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• AI outputs will be accurate or suitable for your needs
• Any errors will be corrected

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• We are not liable for loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $100, whichever is greater

These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, or otherwise).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. In those cases, our liability is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Your Startup Advisor Limited, its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of Evidnt
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Content you upload to the platform

Termination

By you

You can close your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. When you close your account:

• Your data will be deleted within 30 days
• You can export your data before closing your account
• Pro upgrades are non-refundable

By us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
• Have not used your account for 24 months

We will provide notice when reasonable, except in cases of serious violations.

Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your right to use Evidnt ends immediately
• We may delete your data after 30 days
• Provisions that should survive (like liability limitations) will continue to apply

Disputes

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Jurisdiction

Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ireland. You consent to the jurisdiction of these courts.

Informal Resolution

Before filing a formal dispute, please contact us. We will try to resolve issues informally within 30 days.

General

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Evidnt.

Severability

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts continue to apply.

No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right.

Assignment

You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights to a successor or affiliate.

Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (natural disasters, war, government actions, etc.).

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by:

• Posting the updated Terms on this page
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Sending an email for material changes (if you have an account)

Continued use of Evidnt after changes means you accept the new Terms.
