Connect the Evidnt MCP to Claude or ChatGPT

The Evidnt MCP connects your Evidnt account to the AI chat you already use, so you can work on any of your spaces from there. Add it, sign in, and ask.

What this gives you

If you already use Claude or ChatGPT, the Evidnt MCP connects your Evidnt account to it, and you can ask about any of your spaces in the same chat where you do the rest of your work. "How many conversations do I have left?" "What did Marta say about pricing?" "Make a private link for Diego." Your AI app asks Evidnt, and Evidnt answers from what is in your spaces.

It works with the Evidnt account you already have. There is nothing new to buy. Everything it can do, on one page: Evidnt MCP.

Connect it to Claude

Before you connect, open Claude's settings and, under Privacy, turn off Help improve our AI models. That way, what Claude reads from Evidnt, including the words of the people you talked to, isn't used to train its models.

  1. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors.
  2. Click Discover, search for Evidnt, and open it.
  3. Click Connect to Claude. An Evidnt page opens.
  4. Sign in to Evidnt if you need to, check that the account shown is yours, and click Allow.

You land back in Claude with Evidnt connected. Try it:

What's my next step in Evidnt?

On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, someone who runs your organization may need to add Evidnt first. If you see Request instead of Connect to Claude, click it to ask them.

Or add it by its address

If you already added Evidnt this way, there's nothing to change.

  1. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors.

  2. Click Add, then Add custom connector.

  3. Name it Evidnt, paste this address: https://evidnt.ai/api/mcp, and click Continue.

  4. On the next screen, Claude has already chosen the right settings. Leave them as they are:

    • Authentication: Sign in now
    • OAuth client: Register automatically
    • Request headers: leave empty
    • Advanced: you don't need to open it. If you do, Transport stays on Streamable HTTP.

    Click Add.

  5. Click Connect. An Evidnt page opens.

  6. Sign in to Evidnt if you need to, check that the account shown is yours, and click Allow.

You land back in Claude with Evidnt connected.

Connect it to ChatGPT

Custom MCP servers need a paid ChatGPT plan. The free plan doesn't include them.

Before you connect, open ChatGPT's settings and, under Data controls, turn off Improve the model for everyone. That way, what ChatGPT reads from Evidnt, including the words of the people you talked to, isn't used to train its models.

  1. In ChatGPT, open Plugins in the left sidebar.
  2. Click Add at the top right, then Add custom MCP server.
  3. Name it Evidnt. Leave Icon and Description empty.
  4. Under Connection, keep Server URL selected and paste this address: https://evidnt.ai/api/mcp/chatgpt. ChatGPT has its own address, so don't use the Claude one.
  5. Leave Authentication on OAuth, and don't open Advanced OAuth settings. Tick I understand and want to continue and click Create as a plugin.
  6. Click Connect, then Connect Evidnt in the window that opens. An Evidnt page opens.
  7. Sign in to Evidnt if you need to, check that the account shown is yours, and click Allow.

You land back in ChatGPT with Evidnt connected.

What it can do

Unless you name a space, it works on the space that opens when you sign in, and every answer says which space it used. Evidnt answers in the language set in your Evidnt account.

It can read:

  • Your spaces and how each one is going: your conversations, how many count toward your score, and your target
  • Any conversation: the notes or transcript, and Evidnt's record of it
  • Your trends, and on Pro your validation score
  • What to do next, the same advice your dashboard gives
  • The questions for your next call
  • Who you should be talking to, written as a search you can run in a people-finder
  • Your outreach kit, the open link to your Evidnt Assistant with its share messages, and your private links with where each one stands
  • On Pro, your investor report link

It can also:

  • Log a conversation from your notes or a full transcript, and add to typed notes later
  • Fix the name, date, context, email or phone on a conversation you logged
  • Create a private link for someone, with the message to send them
  • Cancel a private link nobody has started yet
  • Pause or resume the open link to your Evidnt Assistant
  • On Pro, turn the investor report on or off
  • In Claude, give you the link to upgrade a space to Pro

What it can't do

Some changes need you to see what you're about to change, so they stay in the app. Make those in Evidnt.

  • Delete a conversation
  • Edit a conversation your Evidnt Assistant had (those are the other person's own words), or one that has been verified
  • Change the email on a conversation after a verification request has gone out for it
  • Cancel a private link once someone has started the chat, or after it has ended or expired
  • Replace the open link to your Evidnt Assistant, or suggest a change to it
  • Change your questions or your idea breakdown
  • Send anything to anyone. Evidnt writes the message and you send it.
  • See the email or phone number of the people you talked to

Free and Pro

Free and Pro work as they do in the app, with the same limits. A conversation you log from Claude or ChatGPT counts the same as one you log in Evidnt.

Your data

What your AI app reads from your spaces passes through the company behind it (Anthropic for Claude, OpenAI for ChatGPT), under your agreement with them. More in How we handle your data.

Disconnect

In Evidnt, go to Settings, then Connected AI apps, and click Disconnect next to the app. The next time it tries to reach Evidnt, it asks you to sign in again. You can also remove Evidnt from the app's own settings.

What to do with it

Evidnt is most useful next to the other tools your AI app already has:
